Ukeladies and Lad and perform at nursing home

The Ukeladies and Lad, under the direction of Carol Sheehan, entertained residents of Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

In 2008, founder Sharon Kuhn offered ukulele lessons to a few women, and the group has grown to include 19 members from the Spooner and Hayward area who play a variety of music and entertain at community events, nursing homes, and churches.

The group meets every Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. at Hayward Wesleyan Church and welcomes new members.
