Alzheimer's group offers workshop

CHARLESTON - The Alzheimer's Association, West Virginia Chapter will host Caring Through the Holidays, a free community workshop for anyone caring for a loved one living with Alzheimer's, at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at the Alzheimer's Association, 1601 2nd Ave., Charleston.

The workshop will offer advice on adjusting and setting realistic expectations around holiday activities; how to involve the person living with Alzheimer's; coping with the stress associated with caring for an individual with Alzheimer's or dementia; home and travel safety tips; and gifts suggestions the person with dementia needs or can easily enjoy.
