BRIEF: Banquet to benefit wildlife refuge project

Feb. 04--PORT CLINTON -- Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge is hosting a banquet on Friday to benefit its project to build a new youth fishing access that is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The project will allow youth of all abilities to access the stocked pond near the visitor center for fishing. The evening will be catered by Ole Zim's with a cash bar, and have auctions, games, and raffles. It also will feature wines from St. Julian Winery. It is 6-9 p.m. at the Camp Perry Conference Center, 1000 N. Lawrence Dr., Building 600, in Port Clinton.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at the Nature Store at the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, from board members, or online at www.friendsofottawanwr.org.
