St. Louis Post-Dispatch - 2/10/2018

Feb. 10--CLAYTON -- A Florissant man police say cornered a coworker at a nursing home in Spanish Lake and tried to rape her in 2015 has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

A St. Louis County jury in December found Molokai McClenton, 37, of the 3000 block of Country Green Court, guilty of first-degree attempted rape, sodomy and sexual abuse. Police said McClenton, on June 5, 2015, isolated a coworker, then 23, against her will while on duty at the Green Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at 610 Prigge Road, overpowered her and attempted to rape her.

St. Louis County Circuit Judge Joseph L. Walsh III on Thursday sentenced McClenton, following the jury's recommendation of consecutive prison terms of 15 years for attempted rape, five years for sodomy and five years for sexual abuse. The jury found McClenton not guilty of one sodomy count.

McClenton's lawyer could not be reached Friday.
