Democratic Club Club Members discuss Medicare on TV6

Club Secretary Allan Feldman hosted a half-hour program on Channel 6 last month. The topics were Medicare, Social Security and the Affordable Care Act. It featured two special guests: Steven Martin, who volunteers for the Center for Popular Democracy and Health Access California, and Jon "Bowzer" Bauman, who is chair of the Political Action Committee Social Security Works. The club's next meeting is on Wednesday, June 13, at Clubhouse Three, Dining Room 2, at 7 p.m. It features Prof. Donna Schuele from Cal State Los Angeles, Department of Political Science, whose talk is titled "Free Exercise of Religion and the Weaponization of the First Amendment," how mainstream religion is tearing down the separation between church and state.
