Keene-based Cedarcrest Center gets high marks from state licensing bureau

Keene Sentinel - 10/5/2018

Oct. 05--A local organization received a deficiency-free rating following a recent inspection from a state licensing bureau.

The Keene-based Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities announced the survey results by the N.H. Bureau of Health Facilities Administration in a news release this week. The center on Maple Avenue offers a home, schooling and care for children with complex medical and developmental needs.

The bureau licenses and regulates health facilities such as nursing centers and assisted living facilities, inspecting them yearly, according the N.H Department of Health and Human Services website.

This isn't the first time Cedarcrest received impeccable inspection results, according to Cedarcrest spokeswoman Patty Farmer, who said in an email that the state also deemed the facility deficiency-free in 2014 and 2016.

The inspection, which the release says was completed this week, found the facility in "excellent condition." The inspection focused on aspects of care such as staffing ratios, emergency preparedness and medical and education records, among other areas.
