Our 3rd Annual Youth Encouraging Success (YES) Conference and Gathering is being held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 8:00 AM (Registration and Continental Breakfast) until 3:00 PM. It will be held on the campus of the Northern New Mexico College in Espaola, New Mexico.

This year, our event is taking an exciting turn by partnering with the Northern New Mexico Implementation Team (NNMIT), the Pojoaque Valley High School ? ENLACE Program (Engaging Latino Communities for Education), and the Northern New Mexico College. Along with Healthy Transitions, these organizations are sponsoring this year?s Conference to increase youth participation, and to bring more workshops focused on youth, young adults and young parents. Of course, we will have some adult workshops as well, and many of them may be CEU eligible (not yet determined which ones).

14th Annual Family Leadership Conference

This conference will provide learning opportunities for families and professionals!
This conference will help families improve their skills in advocating for their children and in impacting the systems that affect their children. There will be fun networking opportunities with about 300 participants from around the state and a selection of workshop strands that will provide important information and perspectives to both families and professionals.
Some of the topics that the conference will address:

Information about Early Childhood, Special Education, Healthcare, and transitions
Engaging parents in leadership
Building advocacy skills
Laws, regulations, policies, and best-practices for increasing parental involvement
Skills and strategies for communication, sharing stories, and record-keeping
The value of family-to-family networking and ways to make it happen
Tips on creating connections with local and statewide resources
Methods for creating and/or maintaining strong partnerships between families and professionals
Leveraging individual identity (culture, language, family uniqueness and more) to become stronger advocates for children, family, and community
Selected sessions will be presented in Spanish.

Attorney General Balderas formed a statewide partnership with public officials and law enforcement agencies to target prevention, education and awareness of the opioid abuse problem. This program will expose policy advisors, investigators, consumer advocates and others to the impact and effect of opioid abuse in New Mexico. It will enhance the participants? knowledge and understanding of opioid addiction and the complex issues involved. The primary goal is to afford participants the opportunity to explore program materials and solutions to addressing the opioid epidemic.

Project OPEN is a free training and open to the public.il

We would like to invite you all to attend our 2nd Annual Environmental Fair of Mescalero. We would like to have our participants explore different types of environmental issues to encourage hands on or interactive opportunities within your booth.

Our community is looking to explore the different departments in our surrounding area and see how we all relate to the environment and in different environmental fields. We invite your department to participate in our Community Fair as we build a partnership and enhance the educational experience for the community and surrounding communities.
