International Association of Peer Supporters

Network of Care for Mental Health

The conference will offer over 60 workshops beginning Monday morning and continuing until noon on Wednesday, as we kick off Global Peer Supporters Celebration Day. The annual business meeting will be on Monday evening. There are also plans for fun such as a movie premiere on and an open-mike event Tuesday night.

Plans are also shaping up for a Youth Peer Supporter Leadership Summit on Tuesday and a ceremony to "Pass the Torch" from national leaders in the peer support movement to new peer specialists and future leaders on Wednesday.

Workshops will be offered using a 20 minute PEP (TED like talk), 90 minute format. We have presenters coming from at least 25 states covering topics such as innovative peer support programs, training, career development, supervision, the arts, research, veterans, spirituality, criminal justice and re-entry, and the challenges of peer support practice and implementation. Continuing Education credits will be available for Peer Specialists and Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners (CPRP)
