The Nodstop Special Needs is a head support designed for use by individuals with cerebral palsy, weak neck and shoulder muscles, or neurological disabilities such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or multiple sclerosis (MS) who require assistance in holding their head upright while in a seated or semi-reclined position. It keeps the user's head, neck and shoulders in an upright position, and assists caregivers by holding up the user's head so the caregiver can have both hands free to feed the user or perform other tasks. The Nodstop Special Needs is made of an elastic band covered with soft fleece and designed to fit around the back of the chair. The headband is firmly attached via hook-and-loop material to a cap to prevent it from slipping down beyond the forehead and to provide a more secure, comfortable attachment to the wearer while allowing easy, quick removal when no longer required. The Nodstop Special Needs is completely washable. Each unit comes with two rubber sleeves that can be adjusted to fit along the sides of vinyl or leather chairs to help prevent slippage. OPTIONS: Extension to fit larger chairs such as full size recliners. SIZES: Comes in two lengths: one for wheelchairs (Nodstop Special Needs Wheelchair) and one for chairs, including geriatric and feeding chairs (Nodstop Special Needs Standard). DIMENSIONS: Standard size is 21 inches wide x 6 inches deep. DELIVERY TIME: 4 to 6 weeks.
