Wave Transit asks for feedback on transportation needs

Star-News - 1/12/2021

Jan. 12—Wave Transit will host a virtual town hall event, from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, to gather and solicit input on the transportation needs of people with disabilities and older adults in the Wilmington urbanized area.

Attendees can join remotely by video conference by visiting wavetransit.com or by calling 910-343-0106.

Feedback collected during the event, web survey efforts currently underway, focus group meetings and interviews with key stakeholders and community members will be used to update Wave Transit's 2021 Locally Coordinated Transportation Plan. The plan identifies transportation needs of people with disabilities and individuals age 65 and older in the Wilmington community, identifies strategies for fulfilling those needs, and prioritizes transportation projects and services for funding and implementation.

The link to the web survey, which closes on Jan. 31, can be found at wavetransit.com.

For more information, call 910-202-2045 or email vlacer@wavetransit.com
