Walk to End Alzheimer's event Sept. 19 at StoneCo Park

Sep. 9—The Lambertville Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge #467 and Eva Rebekah Lodge #299 will sponsor a Walk to End Alzheimer's event on Sept. 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at StoneCo park, located at 7100 Whiteford Rd. in Ottawa Lake.
The organizations will walk under the team name "Krumm's Krusaders" to honor long-time Lambertville IOOF member Fred Krumm, who cared for his wife, Dorothy, a member of the Eva Rebekah Lodge, as she succumbed to Alzheimer's over the final 15 years of her life.
The event is open to the public, with donation proceeds going to the Alzheimer's Association. Attendees are encouraged to bring a photograph of a family member or friend suffering from dementia to add to a display to celebrate their life. Water will be provided during the walk.
