Substance Abuse Services offered by the Department of Behavioral Health Services provides a variety of programs to reduce the impact of alcoholism, alcohol abuse, drug dependence and drug abuse within the community. The goal is to make Bernalillo County a safe place to live and work. Clients from all walks of life participate in the variety or programs and services offered, including: The Metropolitan Assessment Center, the Public Inebriate Intervention Program, Detoxification from Alcohol and Substance Abuse, the Supportive Aftercare Program, the Addiction Treatment Program, the Mariposa Residential Program, and Renee’s Project.
