The Native American Health Services provides many resources to you and Their loved ones, such as priority access to admissions and outpatient clinic appointments (taking into consideration the medical necessity of all patients). NAHS patient care coordinators and community liaisons serve as patient advocates, assist with care management and work with UNM Health System departments to coordinate appointments and follow-up care for Native American patients. The NAHS team also coordinates with referring organizations (Indian Health Services Purchase Referred Care and medical staff). They are available to hear concerns and facilitate resolution.
