I have always found (surprisingly-for any MVD/DMV) to be responsive, professional and genuinely helpful. With the current COVID pandemic, they managed to adapt within a week. People complain about this - no body wants to pay - but trust me, if you've been in other states this division really steps up. I do have some background; my father was MV Director in another state.

You can NEVER talk to a live person when calling any mvd office. Extremely frustrating!!!!

Getting very frustrated. Have tried calling 888-683-4636 several times. No answer but I could expect wait time of 20 min or more. Waited 1 hr, 1 min, & 33 seconds. Said they would disconnect this call and I could try again later. Also called 505-764-6658 - rang in my ear for 13 minutes no answer. Had to leave message at Governor's office 505-476-2200- waiting for reply. Web site for State has very limited phone numbers. Not everyone has access to the web, but that is where everything is directed, even when a recording answers. Does the state need a 311 number?
